By Train
The east coast line runs from London King's Cross to Aberdeen, then a taxi or hire car for the last stretch. Stonehaven and Laurencekirk are closer if your service stops there.
By Plane
Fly into Aberdeen from most London airports, roughly an hour and a half, then around a 45 minute drive to the castle.
By Car
A long but scenic drive of around nine to ten hours from the South East. Worth breaking the journey.
From Aberdeen
Plenty of taxis and hire cars in the city. We would suggest arranging your onward trip in advance for the Friday, so you are not waiting around.
From America
Fly into Aberdeen via London or a European hub, or into London and on from there. Give yourself a day or two to settle in, and shout if you would like suggestions.
